Taho Recipe



   1 package extra soft tofu


   muscovado sugar


   1 cup brown sugar/muscovado sugar

   1 cup water

  1 tsp vanilla

Prepare The Syrup:

  • Caramelize sugar in a saucepan. When melted, pour in the water.
  • Continue cooking until the sugar is completely dissolved. Set aside. 

Cook Sago:

  • Boil water in a saucepan. Add in uncooked sago.
  • Stir to prevent sticking.
  • Cook until transparent.
  • Drain then rinse. Set aside.

Prepare Taho:

  • Steam the extra soft tofu for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the steamer. 
  • Transfer the steamed tofu into your bowl and mash slightly to get the consistency of the taho.
  • Add enough arnibal to sweeten. Add sago and lightly stir. 
  • Serve warm.
